The name speaks for itself. Narceus americanus is a large millipede of eastern North America. They are detritivores and will consume decaying wood, leaf litter, soft fruits and a regular source of protein such as fish food.

They are a great beginner species as they are very hardy and will tolerate a wide range of conditions within reason. These specimens are captive-bred from my own collection and are approximately 5cm in length.
